Who else can’t believe it’s already May!? This month has so many fantastic books coming out that I am excited for! Some of these I’ve read, one I’m currently reading, and others I hope to get to soon. What books are you excited for this month? I’d love to know if any of these are on your TBR!

The Bride Test by Helen Hoang
Out May 7th – Add on Goodreads
I loved this one! I’m pretty obsessed with Hoang’s writing and her first book The Kiss Quotient. The Bride Test did not disappoint in any way! The characters and story are deep and complex and it’s a story that pulls you in right from the beginning. Both Mỹ/Esme and Khai are characters you can’t help but fall in love with and I was so encouraged and inspired by their perseverance and growth. I’ll have my full review up soon, but this one is definitely one you need to pick up!

Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors by Sonali Dev
Out May 7th – Add on Goodreads
I love me a good retelling of a classic, especially where Jane Austen is concerned. Instead of 1800s England though, it focuses on the present day and an immigrant Indian family (who happen to be descended from royalty) living in San Francisco. I can’t wait to see how the author has updated the story!

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
Out May 14th – Add on Goodreads
This is my current read, and I’m enjoying it! It’s an enemies-to-lovers story (which is a trope I love). When Olive’s sister Ami and Ami’s new husband get terribly ill from food at their wedding reception, Ami begs Olive to take her place on their non-refundable, all expenses paid honeymoon. Only catch is, Olive’s nemesis Ethan, who also happens to be the groom’s older brother, will be going along too. Now the problem is, can they get along and pull off the whole “we’re-newlyweds-and-deeply-in-love” act before they’re ratted out and forced to pay for the honeymoon in full? It has Christina Lauren’s signature humor, so definitely pick it up if you’re a fan of theirs!

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
Out May 14th – Add on Goodreads
I haven’t read many reviews on this one, but the ones I have read, highly recommend it! From the synopsis: A big-hearted romantic comedy in which First Son Alex falls in love with Prince Henry of Wales after an incident of international proportions forces them to pretend to be best friends…
I meannnnnn, I’ll basically read anything that has to do with the British royal family – directly, indirectly, or just inspired by them – so I’m definitely excited for this one.

Prairie Fever by Michael Parker
Out May 21st – Add on Goodreads
This one is a step outside my normal romance genre comfort zone, but the synopsis immediately intrigued me. It’s historical fiction that takes place in the early 1900s in Oklahoma and focuses on two sisters. I’ll be sharing a sneak peek of the book on the 24th of May so be sure to check back then to read a snippet.

The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary
Out May 28th – Add on Goodreads
This is a new all-time favorite book of mine. I’ve talked about it in my Instagram stories, but have yet to post a review. I think because I love it so much and I feel like any review I write won’t do it justice. I will write one though, because I want everyone to read this book! Come back to the blog June 16th and check out the very special interview I got to do with the author of The Flatshare, Beth O’Leary!
